Along the highway where we bike from Banff to Lake Louise, my most favourite route ever, there is a section of burnt out trees that we pass along the route. Ravaged at one time, by a forest fire, this particular section, has been the sighting of many bears along the side of the mountain. There must be many berry bushes not visible to the eye. It’s very strange, all the years that we have biked this route there never seems to be regrowth.
